That's it it's all over for the 93 Oscars. We threw together a fast and furious episode to give you our thoughts on every category and winner from this year's awards show. Oh, and Kris had to say Scott was right a lot, and we mean a lot :P 

It’s Not a Musical: Les Misérables 2019 (1.36)

“Inspired by the 2005 riots in Paris, LES MISÉRABLES – directed by Ladj Ly – follows Stéphane (Damien Bonnard), a recent transplant to the impoverished suburb of Montfermeil, as he joins the local anti-crime squad.” It's like a French Training Day. 

Russo Brothers go to Film School: Cherry 2021 (1.35)

When life goes to shit because you made a stupid decision over a girlfriend, what do you do? You shoot heroin, rob banks, and write a f..king NY Times bestselling novel that’s what you do. Then you get the Russo brothers to make their version of a student film out of your book while you count your cash. It will also be staring one of the Spiderman actors.

Hoes and High-top fades: House Party 1990 (1.34)

Kris and Scott kick step to the hip-hop cult classic House Party. 

And the Oscar goes to: 2021 Academy Awards predictions (1.33)

The biggest night in Hollywood this year is April 25th, 2021. The 93rd Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, but you don't have to wait 'til then to find out who wins.

Uncut friends: Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2021 (1.32)

On this week’s show Scott and Kurt (the host of The Top 5 Film Dive) gang up on Kris. They will try to convince him that Sergio Leone isn’t the only director deserving of a four-hour film and that Ben Affleck should keep acting; spoiler alert they will fail!

It’s not Psycho: Vertigo 1958 (1.31)

This week Scott and Kris go round and round over the classic 1958 film: Vertigo. Based on the French novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead), the Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock creates a surreal picture of a man driven mad with obsession.

You’re so cool: True Romance 1993 (1.30)

True Romance follows Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) and Alabama Worley (Patricia Arquette) as they try to start a new life with the funds from a major coke deal. How hard can it be right? Written by Quentin Tarantino, with large parts taken from his early 16mm B&W short My Best Friends Birthday and directed by Top Gun director Tony Scott; its “the best film Quentin Tarantino never made.” says Mark Kermode: (Observer, UK). Note: Throughout the podcast Kris refers to My Best Friends Birthday as My Best Friend’s Wedding because Kris is stupid and has never experienced ether a birthday, wedding or best friend :P

 

Short on Orange Juice: Trading Places 1983 (1.29)

Before he was Shrek, Eddy Murphy was Billy Ray Valentine, a poor down on his luck rogue who couldn’t catch a break. Things all changed when he bumped into Louis Winthrop III (Dan Aykroyd) and a hilarious rag to riches comedy of errors unfolded. Trading Places is classic 80’s humor that Almar Halfildason of BBC.com called “one of the best comedies of the 1980s, featuring a cast at the height of their powers.”

The Train Boss The Train: 3:10 to Yuma 2007 (1.28)

Russell Crowe and Christian Bale face of in this remake of the classic 1957 western 3:10 to Yuma. Will Dan Evens (Bale) get Ben Wade (Crowe) on the train? Will Charlie Prince (Ben Foster) shoot and kill everyone to free Wade? Will Scott love this movie simply because it has a family in it? The only thing we know for sure is Kris will complain about pacing and execution because he is a cry baby.
